What is Reiki?
Reiki is an ancient healing modality that works on all levels – physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
Reiki is both energy and a system of healing that was developed in Japan in the late 1800’s by Dr. Mikao Usui. After many years of study and meditation, Dr. Usui was able to re-discover ancient Tibetan practices thousands of years old.
Reiki in itself means energy. Rei means universal spiritual wisdom and Ki means life force energy. It is the God-consciousness called Rei that guides the Ki energy in the practice called Reiki.
Reiki can be learned by anyone. It is a simple healing system that is transmitted from teacher to student by means of “attunements” given by the Reiki Master. Once attuned, Reiki is in the student’s hands for their lifetime. No prior healing experience is needed.
Reiki heals by raising the vibrational level of the energy fields in and around the body and putting those back in balance and harmony, by fixing broken energy lines and filling in where energy is lacking.
The student is taught hand positions for even distribution and symbols to direct the flow of energy in more precise ways.
In Japan, all healing techniques using this life force energy have come to be known generically as Reiki. Ardas Healing Connection uses & teaches the original form known as the Usui System (or School) of Natural Healing or Usui Shiki Ryoho.

Learn Reiki
Ardas offers Reiki Certification Training for Levels I and II in private or semi-private weekend or weekday workshops. Training sessions are designed to allow for maximum individual attention. Each student is personally given one-on-one attunements by Reiki Master, Ardas. All classes include a written manual and certificates for each level completed.
Ardas also offers customized Reiki Refresh workshops. Each workshop is designed to support an individual’s specific review requirements and questions.
